One day I decided I wanted to make a bracelet to match a necklace I'd received from my husband, Doug, for Christmas. A trip to a bead store and then a search online led me to the wonderful world of lampwork. I had never seen this before but I was immediately hooked. After taking a couple classes and buying a torch, kiln, tools, and lots of glass, I had everything I needed to create my own beads. Doug thought it looked like something he'd also enjoy, so off he went to metalsmithing classes. Now here we are with our own jewelry business in the making.

Our Goals

  • To maintain the highest quality standards for our products
  • To provide the best customer experience possible

I have a Masters in Education and have taught Art for 10 years. When my job was eliminated and I had to teach computer classes, I needed an outlet for my creative side. This also led to my cancer bracelets. My mother passed away because of breast cancer, and I wanted to somehow contribute a part of the jewelry business to breast cancer research. All proceeds from my pink cancer pieces of jewelry are donated to "The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation".
